On June 27, 2017 two teams of ex-NFL players convened at San Jose's Avaya Stadium to show the world what flag football looks like when it's played by elite professional athletes. It's one part backyard football, one part professional football, and 22 parts pure personality. The American Flag Football League will debut in March 2018 with a nation-wide, March Madness-style tournament where teams of amateur and professional athletes will compete in televised games. The winners of that tournament will then face off in a round-robin 8 team competition against former NFL players.
